Proposals are being accepted for Arkansas Reading Association's 2016 Literacy Conference. ARA is encouraging classroom teachers and others to share "what's working" in their classrooms!
As a way of thanking presenters, ARA provides a reduced registration cost (1/2 price, one per session).
Applications for Administrator in Reading are due March 1, 2016. The purpose of this award is to recognize administrators in the state of Arkansas who have significantly contributed to the improvement of reading instruction and/or who have promoted lifetime reading habits.
The awardee will be recognized at the ARA Literacy Luncheon in July, will receive free conference registration, and be asked to share insights at the Literacy Conference in the fall.

ARA is currently seeking a new Director of Membership (DOM). Duties include actively encouraging membership in ARA and ILA, maintaining the member data base, and serving as ex officio member on the Executive Board. This person must be a member in good standing of ILA and ARA and must have served as a Director of Membership of a local council. Duties will begin in July of 2016. Deadline:.
